Localization in Xamarin IOS


I’ve recently started experiementing on this platform and trying to figure out how to make App that supports multiple languages. When coming across the documentation of localization (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/xamarin/ios/app-fundamentals/localization/), I find it hard to understand the actual steps of implementation:

I declared the CFBundleDevelopmentRegion and CFBundleLocalizations, then I wrote the strings of keys and values in the .strings file, created in Xcode in .lproj folders such as en for English and da for Danish.

However, when testing the values from .strings files, using

var localizedString = NSBundle.MainBundle.GetLocalizedString ("Yes");
someLabel.Text = localizedString;

The output in the App shows the original input parameter Yes instead of the value specified in the .strings file.

Does anyone have an idea about this issue? I’m quite new to this domain, so please do not explain briefly.
